In 2016 Bellville Technical High School started a program called "The Leader in Me" by Stephen Covey, where Seven Habits of Highly Effective People (Teens) are taught to all students. Currently, more than 2500 schools, world-wide, are doing "The Leader in Me" program, in order to better equip their students for the challenges of tomorrow. The Leader in Me (LiM) program is an evidence-based, comprehensive school improvement model—developed in partnership with educators—that empowers students with the leadership and life-skills they need to thrive in the 21st century.Since the introduction of this program, students' marks are constantly improving and the overall ethos in the school has improved drastically.
