Result : 98 run victory for BHTS
Yesterday, 5 February 2019, BHTS won the toss agaist Elsies River High and decided to bat first. Ashwill Horn was on fire scoring 56 in no time before retiring.The captain (Jaybon Johnson) and Ashwinn Katts kept the momentum going with Jaybon scoring 43 not out and Ashwinn 24 (out on the last ball of the innings). BHTS ended on 179-1 after 20.
In reply, the visitors only managed to score 81 with the pick of our bowlers being Otto Landsberg taking 3 for 2 runs in 1.4 overs and Ashwinn Katts taking 3 for 13 runs in 3 overs. Well done boys!
Our HATTIE U/19B cricket team WON by 4 runs against Bishop Lavis yesterday afternoon on home ground.
BHTS won the toss and chose to bat first and had a very difficult start with their batting innings being 3 down for only 7 runs.
The fight back started with the captain, Jaybon Johnson and Channing Daniels who occupied the crease for the next 10 overs.
At the end of the innings BHTS ended on 115 all out with our captain, Jaybon Johnson, top scoring with 61.
Our visitors also lost early wickets but fought back losing the game by 4 runs.
The pick of the bowlers was Ronin Baadjies taking 4 for 26 in his 4 overs.

BHTS U17 Cricket team played against Rylands High yesterday, 21 February 2019. The opposition batted first and was bowled out for 84 runs. Matthew Snell took 3 wickets and Ashwin Katts 4 wickets.
BHTS won the match by 5 wickets with Sange Mongo top scoring with 15 not out. Congratulations boys you made us proud!!

Our U19A cricket team played against Muizenberg High today, 3 March 2019. BHTS batted first and scored 176 in their 20 overs, Evile Shuba top scored with 67 runs, he was supported by Ashwill Horn scoring 50 and Jaybon Johnson scoring 23 not out. Muizenberg was bowled out for 92 runs with BHTS putting together a top fielding performance, getting four run outs. BHTS won by 84 runs. Well done Hatties we are proud of you!
The HATTIE U14 cricket boys won by eight wickets after bowling Bellville High School out for 44 runs yesterday afternoon. Terrance Kopo took 5 wickets! Well done boys! 28 February 2019
DF Malan won the toss and chose to bat first and ended on 97-7 after 20 overs. In reply BTHS chased the score down with ease, winning by 8 wickets with 12 overs done.
Good performance by die Vice Captain of the day, Ashwill Horn scoring 53 not out.

Our Hattie U14 cricketers took on The Settlers in their first cricket match at High school yesterday. They lost the match by 7 wickets, but showed a lot of potential for the rest of the season.

Preseason Training at HTS Bellville by the Strand Cricket Club today. Very proactive!
SS4LS hosted a maintenance, and cricket performance workshop at Bellville THS today with the various SS4LS schools project participants.
The SS4LS programme since 2015 has partnered with the school to upgrade the outdoor sporting facilities and the Jock De Jager Sports Center.
This relationship holds only great things in store, as SS4LS has continued in their investment of HTS Belville. This investment builds upon the infrastructure by providing support in areas such as coaching, education and well-being. With the support of headmaster, Michael Koopman and his strong relationship this relationship hold great things in-store.
Bellville THS experienced another historic day, as we celebrated the Grand opening of the Jock De Jager indoor cricket facility, and we were privileged to have Mr. De Jager (ex HTSB Principal) present. We look forward to the possibilities that this centre holds for young sports people. 4 September 2017
